Levinson Axelrod gripe site catches fire

Levinson Axelrod gripe siteThe latest gripe site making news comes straight from the legal community, and the firm being griped about intends to take action.

Edward Harrington Heyburn created the website Levinson Axelrod Sucks in response to being fired from the New Jersey firm in 2004. Heyburn has spent the past month writing posts criticizing his former employers’ trial records, corporate culture, accolades and social standing — one post describes partner Adam Rothenberg as “a man without friends.”

Yesterday, Law.com reported that Levinson Axelrod has responded by hiring Thomas Cafferty of Scarinci Hollenbeck, who intends to “file an action against Heyburn in the next few days.”

The Business Insider contacted Heyburn to comment for a story posted on the site’s Law Review page. “I assumed that they would come after me,” Heyburn responded.  “Unfortunately, lawyers are demigods.  We sit by and encourage others to press the boundaries of free speech but are reluctant to do so ourselves.  I chose my words carefully.”

Since being dismissed from Levinson Axelrod, Heyburn has opened his own practice.

Getting Noticed
Written by David Pylyp , November 06, 2009
If the intent is to retaliate against the previous employer then the result is none as prospective clients are not reading "reviews"

If the intent in notariety and ingenuity of purpose and web skills in the application and practice of law, then this indeed is a very successful venture.

Heyburn and Heyburn Law have indeed been noticed.

Congratulations!
