Precedent: The new rules of law and style is Ontario’s first independent legal magazine for young lawyers. We’re stylish, fresh, and a little bit irreverent. Mixing law and lifestyle, Precedent brings you legal news, fashion, entertainment — all with a sense of humour. We think it's exactly what lawyers have been waiting for.

Precedent: The new rules of law and style is published quarterly by Law and Style Media Inc.

About Melissa Kluger

Melissa is the editor and publisher of Precedent. She is a Toronto lawyer. She articled at Bay Street firm Cassels, Brock & Blackwell LLP and spent two months on a secondment at the criminal law office of Edward L. Greenspan. After being called to the Bar in 2002, Melissa practiced media law with one of Canada’s leading lawyers in the field. Her work included libel litigation, pre-publication advice and freedom of expression issues.

As a law student at the University of Toronto, Melissa created Ultra Vires — the law school’s independent student newspaper. The publication received national media attention for its investigative reporting.
